Call for ilustrators / Convocatoria para ilustradores

Por 5° año consecutivo, Cris Translates presentará su Antología Navideña de historias basadas en las novelas de Jane Austen, y dado el acogimiento del público, hemos decidido volver a tener a un ilustrador para esta siguiente entrega. Con el propósito de encontrar al siguiente ilustrador para nuestra Antología Navideña 2024, abrimos esta convocatoria a todos los ilustradores.

Bases:

  1. Podrán participar ilustradores mayores de 18 años, de cualquier nacionalidad o residencia, que hablen español y/o inglés.
  2. Para participar, la ilustración debe de ser inédita, y que no haya sido publicada en redes sociales o algún otro sitio de Internet.
  3. El tema es Jane Austen en Navidad. Dado que la mayoría de los autores que participan en la Antología han colaborado con historias ambientadas en la Regencia, se invita a los participantes a crear una ilustración basada en la Regencia.
  4. La propuesta deberá ser elaborada en blanco y negro, por medios digitales o tradiciones.
  5. Bajo ningún concepto se aceptarán ilustraciones hechas con IA.
  6. Acompañado a la imagen, deberá haber un texto explicando la escena de la ilustración.
  7. La convocatoria queda abierta a partir de la fecha de su publicación hasta el 20 de marzo. No se recibirán propuestas después de dicha fecha.
  8. Los resultados serán publicados el 30 de marzo en nuestras cuentas de redes sociales.
  9. El participante elegido no recibirá ninguna compensación económica por su participación en la antología, al igual que los autores que participen. La antología será publicada en Amazon (Kindle y en físico) para finales de este año. El participante elegido deberá comprender que las ganancias serán donadas a la Casa Museo de Jane Austen en Chawton, Inglaterra.

For the 5th consecutive year, Cris Translates will present its Christmas Anthology of stories based on the novels of Jane Austen, and given the reception of the public, we have decided to have an illustrator for this next installment. In order to find the next illustrator for our Christmas Anthology 2024, we open this call to all illustrators.

Bases:

  1. Illustrators over 18 years of age, of any nationality or residence, who speak Spanish and/or English, may participate.
  2. To participate, the illustration must be unpublished, and must not have been published on social networks or any other Internet site.
  3. The theme is Jane Austen at Christmas. Since most of the authors participating in the Anthology have collaborated with stories set in the Regency, participants are invited to create an illustration based on the Regency era.
  4. The proposal should be produced in black and white, by digital means or traditions.
  5. Illustrations made with AI will not be accepted under any circumstances.
  6. Accompanying the image, there must be a text explaining the scene being illustrated.
  7. The call for entries is open from the date of publication until March 20. No submissions will be received after that date.
  8. The results will be published on March 30 on our social media accounts.
  9. The chosen participant will not receive any economic compensation for his/her participation in the anthology, nor will the authors who participate. The anthology will be published on Amazon (Kindle and physical) by the end of this year. The chosen entrant should understand that the proceeds will be donated to the Jane Austen House Museum in Chawton, England.
